Hi,
I am struggling while running the CMDEXEC job step.
Non-SysAdmins have been denied permission to run CmdExec job steps without a proxy account. The step failed.
But this job owner having sysadmin permissions. Earlier i am able to run this job step with the same account. nothing change in user permissions.
Please somebody help me on this issue.

I'm having below errors on intermittent basis and trying to determine route of the issue. To me it seems that AD domain controllers are not responding correctly or has corrupt token.

Below is the error that I'm seeing in my error log on SQL Server. Version of SQL server is 2008 R2 (SP2, CU13) standard edition.
Error: 17806, Severity: 20, State: 14.
SSPI handshake failed with error code 0x80090310, state 14 while establishing a connection with integrated security; the connection has been closed. Reason: AcceptSecurityContext failed. The Windows error code indicates the cause of failure. [CLIENT: 10.*.*.181].
Error: 18452, Severity: 14, State: 1.
Login failed. The login is from an untrusted domain and cannot be used with Windows authentication. [CLIENT: 10.*.*.181]

I am trying to rebuild system database after a DR Scenario by running the below.

It takes me to back to the command prompt as if it was successful.
However event log says:
Error 2(The system cannot find the file specified.) occurred while opening file 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.CORPPLN\MSSQL\DATA\master.mdf' to obtain configuration information at startup. An invalid startup option might have caused the error. Verify your startup options, and correct or remove them if necessary.
and the log file summary says:
Overall summary:So following Microsoft recommendation, I've uninstalled the SQL Native Client it still failing with exactly same message.
COuld anyone kindly advise as I've ran out of ideas?

Currently we are using SQL Server 2012 for our Navision Database.
I have some questions to ask:
1. We are often configured either the differential or full backup to our sql database. if the database is small, then I ll prefer to use full backup as it is easier to restore. if the db is big size, then differential will be the best options. May I know how we actually configure the schedule whereby the previous backup being overwritten? My plan is to keep the db backup at least one or two months and the whole backup will be overwritten again. if not my hdd won't be enough in space.
2. When we perform backup daily, will there any log files created? I am also worry that the log files that being accumulated day to day will occupy the hdd space.
Appreciate your advises on this.

I find that with SQL 2012 and SQL 2014 I get the following types of WARNING: messages displayed when I import the sqlps module.
WARNING: The local computer does not have an active instance of Analysis Services.
WARNING: Could not obtain SQL Server Service information. An attempt to connect to WMI on 'Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Commands.SqlDatabase.Types.ps1xml' failed with the following error: The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)
I've tried adding -WarningAction SilentlyContinue and I've tried piping the output to null by adding | Out-Null but I still get this garbage that I don't care about on the servers I'm running these scripts on. Do any of you know how to suppress these warnings?

I am running MS SQL 2008R2 SP3 and I am trying to run MaintenancePLan.
Current jobs are:
1) Check Database Integrity (scheduled to run every Sunday at 2am)
2) Reorganize Index (scheduled to run every Monday to Friday at 5am)
3) Rebuild Index (scheduled to run every Saturday at 12am)
Check database Intergrity and Reorganize Index jobs both have failed.
This is the error I got from Reorganize Index job:

I am setting up a job which runs some SQL and a python script.
The 'type' for this step is Operating system (CmdExec).

The items in " " are parameters passed to the script.
It errors out with '...The system cannot find the file specified'
I just added the cmd.exe, and only that executes now, not the rest of the line.
How can I run this script ? Can I run this as a step using a command line format as i am trying or should it be in a batch file ?
